Colon cancer is a disease in which normal cells in the colon change. They divide and multiply uncontrollably. This change can take years. In the early stages, the cells may be just a normal tumor. But if left untreated or cut off, the tumor may spread and become cancerous.

Symptoms
- Symptoms from localized diseases, such as bloody stools, chronic constipation, or abdominal pain from intestinal obstruction.
- Symptoms from the disease spreading to the liver, which is the most likely location for colon cancer to spread. When there is a large mass in the liver, there may be pain in the abdomen in the liver area, under the right rib cage, or in the upper right abdomen. It may also result in reduced liver function, causing the patient to have jaundice and yellow eyes.
Colon cancer is caused by many factors, including genetics and environmental factors. Understanding what causes can help us prevent and reduce our risk of developing the disease effectively.
Food consumption:
- Eating foods that are too high in fat
- Eating red meat, grilled meat, ยูฟ่าเบท, that is often burnt.
- Eating foods that are low in fiber
Alcohol consumption and smoking:
- Alcohol can damage the intestinal lining and increase the risk of colon cancer.
- Toxins in cigarettes, such as nicotine and tar, can damage DNA, increasing the risk of cancer.
Lack of exercise and being overweight: Lack of exercise and obesity may increase your risk of colon cancer.
Lack of rest: Insomnia or staying up late not only affects eating and excretion, which is a cause of colon cancer (such as having to wake up early to rush to work or school, making it difficult to eat breakfast), that those who sleep less than 6 hours have a 47% chance of getting colon cancer, compared to those who sleep at least 7 hours.
Although it seems like a serious and dangerous disease because the exact cause is unknown, we can reduce the risk of colon cancer easily by reducing the consumption of high-fat foods, reducing the number of times we eat red meat and grilled foods, eating more foods with fiber such as vegetables, fruits, and grains, reducing smoking and drinking alcohol, and most importantly, exercising regularly.
